I wrote this book at a time when I was worried about the way things were going in this country four years ago.

Too many people were afraid of their shadows; there was a threat of book burning. Many of the books were being taken off the shelves at that time.

And of course, things have changed a lot in four by: 1. Sue Hubbell was the author of eight books, including A Country Year and New York Times Notable Book A Book of Bees.

These books are great for children. My son went to school a year too early, and he's a little behind in learning his letters. He loves this learning system.

He's played with them for hours, which makes each book worth it. Especially since he got the system as a christmas gift. Luckily I read ahead in book 4 and then somehow ‘lost’ it and the rest of the series, for a few more years at least.
